For this project, students research an AIGA Medalist and create a double-page spread biography featuring examples of their work. The layout, typography, and overall design must engage the viewer and relate to the work of the artist selected. This offers students an opportunity to research designers who have been officially recognized as important in their field and gives them a change to explore styles that may be outside of their usual inspiration. Psychedelic artists may explore minimalists, for example, and try on that style safely.
